Dhorpatan lies west of Nepal's best-known trekking corridors. The protected landscape covers 1,325 square kilometres as Nepal's only designated hunting reserve. On this strictly non-hunting trek, walk through broad valley grasslands, pine forests, and shepherd trails to the high meadows of Tikadhara and Bukipatan (4,190m) beneath the distant Dhaulagiri skyline.

Travel west from Pokhara to a protected valley of open grassland, pine forest and seasonal pastoral life beneath the Dhaulagiri horizon. 5 days with simple shelters and high Bukipatan meadows.

Drive from Pokhara to Dhorpatan via Baglung and Burtibang

Stay:Community Lodge / Village House / Camp (Night 1 of 4)

Depart Pokhara before daylight in a private 4WD vehicle, traveling west past Baglung to the riverside town of Burtibang. Ascend into the rugged Bobang corridor towards Dhorpatan valley. Settle into simple accommodation and complete an initial altitude and health check.
