The Ascent of Yunam Peak

Yunam Peak rises to 6,100 meters in the Lahaul region of Himachal Pradesh and is regarded as one of the most accessible 6000m peaks for beginners in the Indian Himalayas.

The route features non-technical glacier walking, snowfields, and broad alpine ridges, offering spectacular panoramic views of surrounding Himalayan ranges.

Unlike technical peaks, Yunam Peak allows climbers to focus on endurance, altitude adaptation, and efficient movement rather than rope or ice climbing skills.

Base Camp (~4,800m) and Summit Camp (~5,500m) provide gradual altitude gain and proper acclimatization before the summit push.

Summit day involves a steady climb over snow and glacier terrain, rewarding climbers with expansive Himalayan views and a strong sense of accomplishment.

Led by certified Himalayan instructors, this expedition follows a structured and safety-first approach, making it ideal for first-time 6000m climbers.
